Lawa’ (Banana Blossom with Fish)

Lawa’ is a food made ​​from banana blossom, grated coconut and fresh fish. This food comes from Palopo and Luwu (South Sulawesi). Lawa’ is similar with Lawar from Bali and Urap from Java, although adding protein to Urap is a tradition outside Java. However, in Bali, lawar always eaten with various type of meat (chicken, pork and pig skin) and various kind of seafood. Morning and have a nice Monday guys. Let’s begin this week with delicious snack.

Bakwan is a popular street fried food in Indonesia.  You can find it easily ranging from street vendor around the schools and offices, warung till restaurant. Bakwan usually made from vegetables such as carrot, bean sprout and cabbage, but I give it a small shrimp and use coconut milk for my bakwan.
